Plazi
Remarks. This species is known from the island of Crete and the neigbouring islet Gavdos ( Tilmans 2002 ). The record from the island of Naxos is probably based on a mislabelling (see Willemse & Heller 2001 ). It is most similar to P. martinae and P. inflatus as discussed in morphology and acoustic part. Its relatives in Anatolia exhibit a high diversity in a narrow area, thus, re-examination of specimens from Crete and other islands may allow us to discover a rich diversity here as observed in some other Orthoptera ( Çıplak et al. 2010 ) . The previous records given in Willemse (1984) were also marked in the distribution map.
Counts are recordings at or below each taxon, so an empty branch shows as empty before you click it. A dash means the join view holds no column for that rank and cannot roll up to it.
The rows audioBlast holds for this taxon, each matched to the same Catalogue of Life node. Where a source classifies it differently, its own classification is kept.
