Diagnosis. The new subspecies P. antalyaensis anemurium differs from the other two subspecies mainly by the following characters (compare H with F and G in Figures 2–13 ); male subgenital plate with a convex caudal margin ( Figure 11H ) (concave in other two forms); male cerci almost straight in basal 3/4 and incurved in 1/4 and elongated inwards directed part and tapered apex (with short and robust apex in other two); the higher number of stridulatory pegs (> 100(98) in P. antalyaensis anemurium ; < 92 in other two forms), the short and robust ovipositor (ratio length/medial width 3.9–4.1 in P. antalyaensis anemurium ;> 4.9–5.6 in P. antalyaensis antalyaensis ) and male calling song (see Figures 17–18 ).

diagnosis · Plazi

Diagnosis. Smaller body size seems to be the main distinctive character of P. antalyaensis myrae at a first glance. The number of stridulatory teeth <77 ( 80–98 in P. a. antalyaensis and> 98 P. a. anemurium) and the shorter and robust male cerci with robust apex (relatively slender and with tapered apex in the other two) are main diagnostic characters of this subspecies (compare F, G and H in Figure 6 ). Male calling song of this species differs by temporal parameters from other two subspecies (see Figure 18 ). In addition P. antalyaensis myrae differs from P. antalyaensis anemurium (compare G with H in Figures 3–13 ) by the male subgenital plate with a concave caudal margin (convex in the other); the male cerci are shorter and incurved along their distal 3/4 (incurved in 1/ 4 in the other), their inwards directed part is shorter and their apices are robust (inward part is elongated and apex is tapered in the others; compare F, G and H in Figure 9 ).

description · Plazi

Male. Fastigium of vertex about 1/3 of scapus. Pronotum as in the group, median sulcus located before the middle, cylindrical in prozona and inflated in metazona, caudal margin of the disc widely convex, medial carina absent or there is a light line, disk bordered with large light lines; paranotal margin almost straight along prozona and slightly S shaped along metazona ( Figure 3F–H ). Tegmina fully covered by pronotum ( Figure 5F–H ). Stridulatory teeth are conic at the proximal and at the distal part, and wide in the middle of the stridulatory file ( Figure 6F–H ). The number of stridulatory teeth varies between 70 and 140 (differs between subspecies). Cerci cylindrical, roundly curved in their distal 2/3 or 1/4 (differs between subspecies), and weakly or visibly tapered distalward from the base, with a robust or sometimes pointed apex and 2–4 small denticles on their external margin ( Figure 9F–H ); subgenital plate slightly longer than wide and oval in its distal half, distal margin is slightly convex ( Figure 11F–H ). Female. Similar to male in general. Pronotum less inflated in metazona and margins of paranota almost oblique (F–H in Figure 7–8 ). Subgenital plate twice as broad as long and with convex caudal margin; ovipositor relatively short and robust ( Figure 12F–H ). Coloration. General coloration yellowish or reddish brown with dark brown spots and patterns; the disc of pronotum reddish brown; tegmina dirty brown. Abdomen with a brown band dorsally along the middle of terga. Song . See acoustic part of the text.

Counts are recordings at or below each taxon, so an empty branch shows as empty before you click it. A dash means the join view holds no column for that rank and cannot roll up to it.
