Plazi
Distribution. Known only from type locality. Calling song ( 1♂ , 30.0°C) ( Figs 6E–H ). The calling song consists of irregular sequences of syllables. The average syllable duration is 21.3±1.9 ms (17.3–25.0 ms), average downtime between consecutive syllables is 0.25± 0.05 s (0.18– 0.35 s ), average period is 0.27± 0.05 s (0.20– 0.36 s ). The call spectrum is broadband, nearly ultrasonic in range, with energy around 30 to 60 kHz. The average peak frequency is 41.7±0.6 kHz (40.8–42.8 kHz). The calling songs of this species and Anelytra ( Anelytra ) melanopa sp. nov. are nearly indistinguishable from each other.

Frons subrugose, with very few faintly impressed dots ( Fig. 2F ). Maxillary palpi slender and elongated, segments subequal length, with apical segment longest and apex roundly bulbous. Pronotum generally smooth with very fine short setae; anterior margin truncated, at middle slightly indented; posterior margin faintly concave ( Fig. 2D ). Paranota similarly shaped ( Fig. 2E ).Anterior part of mesopleurae with conchate projection behind auditory spiracle ( Fig. 2E ). Prosternum without processes ( Fig. 4G ). Mesosternal and metasternal lobes similarly shaped ( Fig. 4G ). Both tympana on anterior tibia slightly swollen with narrow slit ( Fig. 2F ). Anterior coxa with triangular spinule on dorsal margin, spinule curved ( Fig. 2D ). Femora with the following number of spines on ventral margins: anterior femur 4–5 external, 3–4 internal, external spines larger than internal; middle femur 5–6 external, 0 internal; posterior femur 12 external, 0 internal. Tibiae with the following number of spines on ventral margins: anterior tibia 6 external, 6 internal; middle tibia 7 external, 0 internal. Male. Tegmen highly reduced; dorsal field about 1.1 as long as wide; mirror area barely covered by pronotal disc, barely reaching abdominal tergite, with apex truncated ( Figs 3C , 7 ); hind wing rudimentary, concealed under tegmen ( Figs 2D, 2E ). Mirror on left tegmen small, rhomboid, about 1.2 as wide as long ( Fig. 3C ). Stridulatory file on underside of left tegmen faintly curved about 1.9 mm long; with about 141 teeth fairly regularly and densely spaced throughout ( Fig. 3D ). Tenth abdominal tergite at posterior prolonged behind, producing two posteromedian lobes, lobe tongue-shaped, margin between lobes broadly deeply emarginated with anterior end angular ( Figs 4H– J ). Epiproct triangular with apex rounded, concealed under tenth abdominal tergite ( Figs 4H, 4I ). Cercus basally cylindrical, with baso-internal projection spinose with apex acute; after basal third curved inwards and dorsally towards apex and dorso-ventrally lamellate, tapering into obtuse apex, at apex having small acute spinule ( Figs 4H– L ). Subgenital plate with anterior half broad, posterior half with faintly converging lateral margins, apical margin triangularly and deeply emarginated ( Fig. 4L ). Styli stout, with apex rounded ( Fig. 4L ). Titillators ( Figs 5E–H ) very similar to Anelytra ( Anelytra ) melanopa sp. nov. , differ slightly by apical parts less distinctly bent. Female. Unknown. Colouration. Head dorsum yellow brown with green veins, with fastigium verticis dark apically ( Figs 2D , 7 ). Scapus and pedicel black; antennae dark brown with pale rings ( Figs 2D–F ). Frons dark red brown, mandible dark red brown, clypeus and labrum cream coloured ( Fig. 2F ). Maxillary palpi with segments cream coloured ( Fig. 2F ). Gena brown ( Fig. 2E ). Pronotum yellow brown; dorsal disc with longitudinal band green with undefined margins, forming spot on anterior and posterior ends; anterior half with green pattern that continues into paranota ( Figs 2D, 2E ). Tegmen generally with veins cream coloured and cells black or dark brown ( Figs 3C , 7 ). Spine on anterior coxa orange ( Fig. 2D ). Legs generally yellow brown, ventral spines with apex black ( Fig. 7 ). Anterior tibia with black ring distal of tympana, distal half dirty green ( Fig. 2F ); middle and posterior tibiae dorsally with green band ( Fig. 7 ). Tarsi generally pale coloured with tint of green and black markings. Tergites yellow brown, with longitudinal black stripe ( Fig. 7 ); sternites pale orange ( Fig. 4G ). Tenth abdominal tergite, epiproct, cercus, and subgenital plate generally yellow brown to orange brown ( Figs 4H–L ). Measurements. See Table 1 .
Counts are recordings at or below each taxon, so an empty branch shows as empty before you click it. A dash means the join view holds no column for that rank and cannot roll up to it.
The rows audioBlast holds for this taxon, each matched to the same Catalogue of Life node. Where a source classifies it differently, its own classification is kept.
