Remarks. This new species is similar to T. multimaculata Song & Li, 2008 , which also has the same forewing color pattern and shape of style, but differs as follows: 1) abdominal apodemes small and not extending to 3rd segment; 2) aedeagus with two pairs of processes; 3) pygofer ventral appendage paddle shaped.

Remarks. This erythroneurine leafhopper originally described from Korea is newly recognized from Tokyo Metropolis in Honshu. It resembles Tautoneura multimaculata Song et Li, 2008 in the dorsal coloration and markings, but is distinguishable by the darker overall color and larger spots, the short male abdominal apodemes not reaching posterior margin of 4th sternite, and the aedeagus bearing two pairs of processes. This species has invaded Europe, and various elm trees, Ulmus spp. ( Ulmaceae ) were mentioned as a host plant for this species ( Nunheim & Nickel 2025 ). In our investigation, adults were found on the leaves of Japanese zelkova, Zelkova serrata (Thunb.) Makino of Ulmaceae , and the nymphs were also previously observed on this tree, identified only as Erythroneurini sp. ( Ono 2022 ). This leafhopper is highly likely to be an alien species in Japan , because it occurs only in urban park plantings and is not found in natural forests.
