The call of P. abdita is a series of syllables in groups of 2–4; mean syllable duration is 0.0033 s (SD=0.002105, n=20); the peak frequency varies from 18.2 to 24.6 kHz but exhibits no consistent incremental changes that are seen in P. guytonae (Fig. 55J–L).
