Diagnosis. New species showed similarity to the members of Caryanda tamdaoensis species-group ( sensu Song et al ., 2024 ) but its male genitalia is not suitable with differential diagnosis of this group. The species C. eunigritibia sp. nov. is very similar to C. yunnana Zheng, 1981 and C. nigritibia Mao, Xu & Li, 2017 by the morphological ratios, number of dorsal spines of hind tibiae slightly vary and overall coloration, especially black hind tibiae ( Zheng, 1981 ; Mao et al. , 2017 ). The new species can be distinguished from C. yunnana by the basal part of antennae light pale; dorsal side of head with distinct, faded or indistinct triangular black spots in both sexes; disc of pronotum bright blue in male, green in female, without longitudinal band, only with small black spots in both sexes; tegmina shining black with shining, indistinct yellow stripe on median vein and areas around it; hind femora without any markings, yellowish ring before knee narrowed; blackish bands near median part of abdominal tergite distinctly narrower in both sexes; most part of abdominal tergites greenish blue in male, but brownish green in female, and female subgenital plate with almost truncated posterior margin, slightly shallowed concave medially, whereas in C. yunnana , basal part of antennae light blue, dorsal side of head with distinct triangular black band running through disc of pronotum and diverged into two thickened black longitudinal bands in metazona, and running to abdominal tergites; disc of pronotum bright yellow in both sexes; tegmina distinctly bicolor, black with yellow stripe along posterior margin in both sexes; hind femora with two blackish bands on upper keel, yellow ring before knee much broader in both sexes, and female subgenital plate with posterior margin concave in the middle with two obtuse projections. The new species also can be distinguished from C. nigritibia by male genitalia, shape of female subgenital plate and coloration. For the morphology, male epiphallus with ancorae small, outer lophi similar in shape, but inner lophi larger; valves of cingulum distinctly shorter and smaller than apical valves of penis which large, expanded lobe-like with rounded apex in posterior view; female subgenital plate with almost truncated posterior margin, slightly shallowed concave medially, whereas in C. nigritibia , male epiphallus with ancorae large, inner lophi distinctly small; valves of cingulum distinctly long and reached the apex of apical valves of penis which elongate, thin with a beak-shape apex in lateral view, and female subgenital plate with posterior margin concave in the middle with two obtuse projections. For coloration, in both sexes are very similar, but the new species can be distinguished from latter species by the antennae black, paler in basal areas; tegmina with yellowish or reddish on median vein and around it; hind femora yellowish or yellowish green at very base, remain part bright reddish orange, and hind tibiae black in both sexes, whereas in C . eunigritibia , the antennae yellow with dark segments apically; tegmina with green on anal vein; hind femora yellowish or yellowish green at basal 2/5 and apical 3/5 red, and hind tibiae black in male, but blue in female. Habitat. We found them perched and fed on grasses in grassland of open areas beside the road.
Counts are recordings at or below each taxon, so an empty branch shows as empty before you click it. A dash means the join view holds no column for that rank and cannot roll up to it.
The rows audioBlast holds for this taxon, each matched to the same Catalogue of Life node. Where a source classifies it differently, its own classification is kept.
