Diagnosis . Males and females of C. assamensis comb. nov. are most similar to those of C. housaiyuae ( Lin & Li, 2022 ) comb. nov. in the general shape of the genitalic structures ( Figs 3E–F , 4A–B ; Fage 1924 : fig. 1c; Brignoli 1981 : figs 5–8; Song et al. 1999 : figs 84A–B; Wunderlich 2011 : figs 19, 20; Lin et al. 2022 : figs 59A–C, 60A–B; Yang et al. 2022 : figs 1E–G, 2A–C), but can be separated from the latter species by the following combination of characters: the distal horn of the median apophysis with almost two subequal branches (vs. one branch is curved and twice as long as the other in C. housaiyuae comb. nov. ); vulval centre with a more or less V-shaped medial structure (vs. distinct in C. housaiyuae comb. nov. ) ( Figs 3F , 4B ; Fage 1924 : fig. 1c; Brignoli 1981 : figs 5–6, 8; Song et al. 1999 : figs 84A–B; Wunderlich 2011 : figs 19, 20; Lin et al. 2022 : figs 59A–C, 60A–B; Yang et al. 2022 : figs 1G, 2A–C).
