Plazi
Taxonomic remark. Biologically confirmed species. This species represents a well-supported evolutionary lineage within the H. arborea complex. Its species-level status is supported by multilocus genetic analyses, consistent differences in mating calls, and morphological traits ( Kaya and Simmons 1999 ; Kaya et al. 2009 ; Litvinchuk et al. 2006 ; Stöck et al. 2008 ). Although H. savignyi and H. orientalis are parapatric in Eastern Georgia , and the extent of gene flow across their contact zone is not fully resolved, possible limited introgression does not preclude species status when lineages remain phenotypically and genetically distinct across their ranges. Divergence time estimates between H. savignyi and related taxa exceed 11 Mya ( Kumar et al. 2017 ), further supporting long-term evolutionary independence.

Counts are recordings at or below each taxon, so an empty branch shows as empty before you click it. A dash means the join view holds no column for that rank and cannot roll up to it.
The rows audioBlast holds for this taxon, each matched to the same Catalogue of Life node. Where a source classifies it differently, its own classification is kept.
